First Priorities

  • pre-purchase website engagement
    • Even if the customer doesn't immediately buy something, give them something to engage with. This could be a fun engagement tactic on your website, or it could be as simple as highlighting your social content when it's good enough. We'll discuss and decide which avenue is most appropriate for what currently exists, and create a path to something bigger & better.
  • post-purchase customer engagement
    • After the customer makes a purchase, specifically their first purchase, there should be some sort of engagement or incentive to share that creates a viral loop. This could be creating a "Chocolovers" community, or it could be a specific CTA that's included in post-purchase email or even in packaging.
  • refocus branding recommendations
    • The branding of the website is a bit all over the place, let's focus on streamlining the messages, flow, and funnel to checkout. Shouldn't be much, but might make a meaningful difference.
  • research & set up community foundations
    • Creating a community of brand-enthusiasts or evangelists is the most effective way to create organic growth. Chocolate is a very specific niche with very enthusiastic connoisseurs, I think you can cultivate a growing community of engaged customers.
  • focus social content (mainly Instagram and TikTok)
    • Your socials look good, but let's beef it up! Focus on what has performed the best and double down, specifically content focused around the experience of ordering & eating/drinking Cru Chocolate.
  • create "trendy" content to be used as paid ads
    • Chocolate Bombs would be an incredible product to create specialized content for, specifically on Instagram and TikTok. There's a huge opportunity to make Cru a "trendy" company among the younger demographic. We'll be able to experiment with language and demo segmentation with a secondary focus on partnering with TikTok creators for content creation.
